Hole in the Wall Update From Marcia

I have someone to take over The Hole in the Wall Gang leader. Laurie and I took on the organize of the quilts in and around 1997. Since then we have over come so many obstacles.

Hopefully you all will share your talent and sewing abilities to this eager group.

I am ever so grateful to realize that YOUR talents in many quilts and pillowcases to these young campers over all these years.

It is time for me to step back but not all the way.

Thank you all for showing every one that we care about our youth.

Hole in the Wall

Marcia has decided to step aside as the Hole in the Wall Coordinator.  She has done an exceptional job over the last two years and we will miss her dedication and enthusiasm.

Hole in the Wall has been a cornerstone charity of the guild for many many years.  We are looking for a person or a group of people to step up and be the coordinator for the 2018-2019 year.

Beebe Estate Quilt Show





The Beebe Estate Gallery is pleased to announce that Laurie M. Thies and her students of Mary Rose’s Quilts & Treasures of Reading, Massachusetts will be the featured artists for the month of May 2018

The show will open with a reception on Friday May 4, 2018 from 7 pm – 9 pm at the Beebe, you can view the show while enjoying some light refreshments and drinks.

The Beebe show will be open for the following Saturdays May 5, 12, 19, 26, 2018 from 11 am – 3pm.

Laurie’s passion for quilting started the Shop in Reading and has helped her students grow and explore the traditional style of quilting along with the modern concepts and fiber arts. The show will featured finished quilts, unfinished tops, small quilted items, fabric dolls and other quilted art pieces.

Come browse and inquire about quilt classes, purchase a finished or unfinished quilt, or even a quilted art piece for that special friend that you might need a gift for. Come and join the fun and explore with fellow quilters, friends and family.

Mystery Quilt – March

Due to the cancellation of North Parish’s guild meeting, the solution to the mystery quilt was not been passed out.  A PDF copy of the solution is attached.

I have the hard copies of the solution which I will pass out at the April meeting. If you would like to contact me to receive this printed hard copy, my email is  At the April meeting, I will be explaining how to re-square the quilt before adding the borders.
A color copy of the finished quilt will be on a separate email.

North Reading Public Schools have cancelled classes and activites for Wednesday March 14, 2018.  Following the Guild’s Snow Cancellation Policy, there will be no meeting Wednesday March 14th.



SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that North Reading Schools are canceled on the day of a North Parish Guild Meeting, then the guild meeting is also canceled. However, if snow conditions become severe through the day, members will be notified by email by 3:00 pm on the day of the meeting. We ask that everyone assist with notifying our members of a cancellation. Members without email should contact another North Parish Guild Member. Thank you.
