This information did not make it into the December Newsletter.
I thank you all again for your support to Yawkey Way Home this year.
At the December meeting, I will have about a dozen quilts that will need the binding sewn. I have the binding cut (more than you need), and just needs to be sewn onto the quilts. Feel free to Machine quilt the binding. I will also have Pillowcase kits to take home and make.
And, of course, I will have about 10 children’s quilt kits to assemble. These are easy – there are squares to sew in a row, alternating the solids with children’s prints. Sew the number of rows specified in the pattern and then sew the rows together. Then just sew a border around the entire top – and you are done with the top. Everything is in the kit and more squares than you need are included. When you return it, I will then sandwich it and have it machine quilted, unless any of you want to do that, and then it will be ready for the binding to be sewn on and it is done.
Feel free to return any of these items at your leisure. They do not have to be returned the following month. I appreciate whatever you can do for the Home—it is appreciated by me and the children at the Home. See you in December at our Holiday Meeting.
